About West Quality Food Service, Inc.
EspañolWest Quality Food Services, Inc. (WQFS) is a dynamic people-driven organization that began with one restaurant on November 13, 1967, when founders, V.C. and Louise West, opened their first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on 16th Avenue in Laurel, Mississippi. This Family business, like many others, was operated primarily by V.C. and his sons Dick, Bill, Steve and Tim, who through hard work and dedication have grown to become the executive leadership team that gives this company its Vision and sustains the standard of excellence that make this company great.
In 1969, WQFS opened its second restaurant in Laurel, MS and opened another restaurant in McComb, Mississippi. In January 1970, these
restaurants were incorporated and West Quality Food Service, Inc. was established as a privately held company. With the help of its Team Members and the three founding principles: quality food, service excellence and restaurant cleanliness (Q.S.C.), WQFS now operates 69 restaurants in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, with 5 restaurant concepts, and ownership of several affiliate companies.
WQFS is committed to maintaining a work environment free of all forms of harassment and the company affords equal opportunity to all existing and prospective team members without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. WQFS and its affiliate companies Corporate Support offices are located in Laurel Mississippi.
