In 1971, a small restaurant on South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas was home to a single, one-of-a-kind sandwich. The menu was very simple: one deliriously craveable sandwich composed of a unique combination of 13 different premium meats, cheeses, and marinated black olives served oven-baked on
Schlotzsky's Fresh-From-Scratch� sourdough bread. From its humble origins, The Original� created a passionate following among our guests.

Now, more than 40 years later, Schlotzsky's has become a leading fast casual bakery-cafe
restaurant chain with franchised locations in 35 states and three foreign countries. As we've grown, our guests' tastes have evolved, and so has our menu. The Original� is still our most famous sandwich, but today you can also enjoy a wide array of oven-baked Signature Sandwiches and Wraps, Artisan Flatbreads, Gourmet Pizzas, Fresh-tossed Salads, Savory Soups, and NEW Oven-Baked Pastas!

Our restaurant look has evolved, too. Since 2011, we've remodeled and upgraded our locations with a fun, quirky and unique look that includes bright, energetic colors within a
circle-themed design to highlight our signature round sourdough buns. You'll also find most of our locations offer a variety of warm, ooey-gooey Cinnabon� treats.

Yet even with an expanded menu offering, and hundreds of franchise restaurants, our tastes remain true to our roots. Schlotzsky's is still using the highest quality ingredients to make the world's best sandwiches, soups, salads, flatbreads, pizzas and pastas.
