Reports to: Kitchen Manager

Wage: $14.00 - $16.00  hourly DOE

Job Summary:   The role of the prep cook/baker is to ensure that the kitchen is ready for production every day.  This includes prepping food for the pizza line as well as baking our bread, rolls, and preparing all pizza dough daily, all while ensuring our products are made consistently to our high standards.


 Essential Job Duties: include the following; other duties may be assigned: 

  • Manages daily prep list and preps food in a quick and efficient manner 
  • Responsible for the production of pizza dough, bread, pastries, and other items 
  • Directs kitchen staff to assist with daily food prep as needed
  • Constantly maintains a clean work environment; cleans kitchen and dishes 
  • Monitors product quantities and food freshness to ensure minimal waste
  • Performs daily duties such as opening, closing, cleaning and side work
  • Works on the line when needed, including pizza and grill stations
  • Provides direction and works well in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Valued Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma or GED Servsafe Manager
  • Commercial kitchen experience
  • Baking experience
  • Work in a customer service business

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a kitchen environment. This role uses ovens, grills, knives, and mixers, among other restaurant equipment.  This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to long periods of standing in a hot environment.
