Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is looking for SOFTWARE ENGINEER for our corporate team. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Software Engineer will collaborate with the IT Manager of Applications and Development, technical business partners, and team members to develop, implement, and support Medieval Times’ Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS Retail applications, platform architecture and security.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Participate in development, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise solutions.
  2. Administer enterprise applications, including but not limited to: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft SharePoint with Reporting Services, Zetadocs Document Management, SQL Server Integration Services, SSRS Reports, Power BI, and Sage CRM.
  3. SQL Database administration
  4. Research and document requirements for development and best practice initiatives.
  5. Participate in maintenance of the NAV/LS Retail infrastructure and provide technical guidance to department team members and business partners as needed.
  6. Provide technology support to internal customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of data structures, API/services, and interface development.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others to solve problems and drive solutions.
  • Possess the learning capacity to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so the department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives

 

Programming Knowledge: SQL, T-SQL, C/SIDE, .Net VBA/C#, PowerShell, VBScript, XML, Visual Studio Team Services, Excel Formulas, and Agile Methodologies.

ERP Knowledge: Finance (A/R, A/P, G/L), Point of Sale, Supply Chain/Replenishment, Distribution/Warehousing, Manufacturing, Multi-currency, Multi-company, Workflow, Bank Reconciliation, and EDI/XML Document Processing.

Systems Knowledge: MS Dynamics NAV 2016+, LS Retail, SQL Server 2014+, SQL Integration Services, Reporting Services, Jet Reports, Microsoft Power BI, ZetaDocs Document Management, SharePoint 2016+, Windows 2012R2+, experience with Azure/AWS, VMware vSphere, and Active Directory.

 

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related field from an accredited program or equivalent work experience required.

Four years Dynamics NAV experience. Four years of experience with MS SQL required.  A minimum of four years of related experience with implementing, configuring, supporting enterprise applications. Strong understanding of reporting is a MUST. Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  Familiarity with Retail/Payment Solutions, PCI Security Council Standards, Generally Accepted Principles, and Practices for Securing Information Technology Systems as per NIST desired; certifications not required.
